HAPPY NEW YEAR to YOU ALL!

Today has been a great day for me. Got up early today and started working on my office files - Yes… you guessed it right, even without having bath or shave - Duty comes first always for this guy.

And hmmm.. by the time i had my bath breakfast was piping hot on the table - too tempting to go for it without performing pooja, still i managed to do some pooja and hop on the table to munch on some goodies. Today’s special sweet was ‘KESARI’ in contrast to my mom’s usual tasty ‘SAMIA PAAYSAM’ - but this was good too, enjoyed till the last bite.

Thereafter i sat on my laptop as usual, not before receiving blessings from my parents who handed me and my bro the ‘Kai Neetamm’ for the day. Right after that sat on my laptop to work on some new files and ideas.

Went to a temple all of a sudden, should say its a miracle - we never planned for it. But we managed to get into a temple at 2:30PM (who will ever open at that time???) really i should say its a miracle, took some snaps over there which shall be uploaded soon…

I wish everyone would have enjoyed the new year in their own special way - and my special day was spent as i’ve mentioned above…no partying… no pubs… no booze etc., simple as such

Hi All,

Thanks for all who read my post - but if none reads, sorry though.

Managed to pen something on the blog before the year 2008 ends. To put in a nutshell, the year 2008 just passed me even faster than the fastest supersonic in the world could. True.. it came to an end all of sudden - of course, i understand every year has to end .

As I run my own bpo that specializes in e-publishing and related processes, this year 2008 has given lot to work on - clients who love our work, and those who are willing to sign up new projects - at this moment i wish to thank everyone of them. God has been so nice to me this all year along - I pray to god to extend the same in the upcoming 2009.

Comparing 2008 to year 2007 there has been a 200% improvement in personal life, 2007 caused several bitter moments that aint forget - spent a deal of time around it to get up and running - but my parents and well-wishers around me made that happen. I really dont know how to thank you all… thanks for being with me during my testing times.

For all those reading this, wish you a belated christmas & prosperous happy new year!

I seriously advice to all those who prefer to from home, not to.

At the start, it may seem to be a blissful experience and later as it wears out, you may find it too boring to sit before the PC with none to chat with or talk to.

The best thing is to go for a work to an office, meet people, interact, and share stuff.  What i may say, may not be apt for housewives, for who working from home is a blessing in dsguise - most of the work that housewives/retired people do from home are data entry, conversion, medical transcription, legal & business transcription - some may even opt for XML tagging, copywriting, copyediting.

I just have one word of caution for all those work-from-home aspirants.. never pay someone to get work, because its always the other way around - you get paid for doing work. And when someone demands money in excess - then listen to what you’re mind has to say.

Yes, its true - Google has launched their own browser named ‘Google Chrome’

Boasting of excellent speed and promising web experience, as all products its still at beta.

You can download the browser by going to http://www.google.com/chrome or clicking the image above.

I have started using it, like it imported all my data from Firefox - so am giving it a try at the moment.  Shall soon  post updates about its performance.

Not only products at t.nagar are hot, On Monday (yesterday) many floors of saravana stores in t.nagar had quite hot debris in them. In what seems to a untoward incident, an short circuit on the 6th floor led to break of fire in saravana stores which led to the destruction of goods valued at several crores.  The fire was noticed as early as 6:05 am by the employees of the firm and was promptly reported to the Fire service who managed to get over there without much traffic hussles as it was just a the break of the day.

According to reports from The hindu and Indian express the fire was contained by around 1-2 P.M. but 2 employees were still reported to be missing from the store - employees were staying over there in the top floor.

Residents at t.nagar were enraged, as they were quite concerned should the mishap took place during business hours (which may have resulted in huge loss of lives). Talking to the press, they were quoted saying many commercial structures on Tnagar are not built according to CMDA - chennai metropolitan development authority. Also they added, no sufficient firefighting equipments were found.

In my opinion, commercial establishments such as these should have - adequate amenities should an crisis occur, built according to norms, have several emergency exits. So i beleive government takes some steps in this regard.

Today happens to be the much celebrated festival in our local maariamman temple. Two days back i.e., on Friday there was a music party where chief guests will be called and honored with a shawl or even money i believe.

Today evening, we shall go our kulatheivam (thulukaanathamman) which is right behind the Radisson GRT hotel. Everyone will be dancing and the swami statue will come in Oorvalam which is great fun to be seen. My mother has nearly 10 siblings and this festival is one such event when all the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation of those 10 siblings get to meet together.

Aadi is coming to an end, and getting started is Aavani - the preferred month for marriages. Boy, aadi has been a cruel month to newly wed couples too where they get separated from each other during aadi month. But sure, for business merchants and textiles this month is a jackpot as Aadi Discount fever has caught up in every nook and corner.
